Frequent Questions

What is ICIS and how do I access it?

The Integrated Compliance Information System (ICIS) supports the information needs of the federal enforcement and compliance program (FE&C) as well as the unique needs of the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) program. ICIS integrates data that is currently located in several separate data systems.

The Web-based system enables individuals from states and EPA to access integrated enforcement and compliance and NPDES data from any desktop connected to the Internet.

ICIS is available on the web, but requires a username and password.  All users register through their Regional System Administrators or the ICIS Help line. Below are the instructions for registering for ICIS.

Your ICIS Regional System Administrator will provide you with your User-Id and temporary password.

The first time you logon, you will be required to enter a new password.  Agency security policy requires that users change their password every 90 days. Report any login problems to your Regional System Administrators
