As recipients of federal financial assistance, States have affirmative obligations under Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and other non-discrimination statutes. This notice does not address or modify those obligations. For further information about the obligations under these statutes, please refer to 40 CFR Parts 5 and 7.
