Frequent Questions

What is a Passphrase?

A passphrase is a second layer of security used to encrypt and protect Confidential Business Information (CBI). When you begin to fill out your annual production report (EPA Form 3540-16) you will be prompted to create a new Passphrase. This Passphrase will be linked and required to enter information for all establishments under that specific company number.

Key reminders:

  • Passphrase is different than your password
  • DO NOT FORGET YOUR PASSPHRASE! Passphrase CANNOT be reset by anyone including EPA
  • If you have multiple agents reporting for one company they will all have to share this Passphrase
